Hotel Link has completed the implementation Derived Rate Plan on the Extranet.
Derived Rate Plan is a new rate plan (Sub) which has a value of price derived from the other rate plan (Root). The price of the sub rate plan can be updated automatically by the rules which are set in the setup pages.
The Derived Rate Plan will be updated automatically if there are changes from the Root Rate Plan. It makes the price updates on the system quick and easy.
We have activated the Derived Rate Plan since July 2020.
When a hotelier creates the new rate plan on the Booking Engine tab, the Rate Type Default is set on Manual, hence the hotelier needs to select Derived option and pick the root rate plan to be derived from. It must be an existing rate plan on the same room type.
Derived rule will increase or decrease the price of the Derived Rate Plan by fixed amount or percentages.
The Rate Type can change anytime, the derived price will override the manual price. Notice that the value of Derived Rate Plan will not change if the Rate Type is switched to Manual.
The Derived Rate Plan will display on the Calendar with the icon
The value of price cells is disabled due to an unmodifiable reason.
