Reporting Issues With Booking.com Easier With New UX Enhancements!

Managing OTA bookings is a crucial task for hotels, but it can also be challenging when issues arise, such as invalid credit cards, stay changes, or booking cancellations. To help hotels handle these situations more quickly and efficiently, Hotel Link has introduced a new improved interface for reporting issues to Booking.com. Join Hotel Link to explore the details of Issue Reporting with Booking.com and how it can help your hotel run more easily.

Key Enhancements in the Issue Reporting Process for Booking.com

Previously, when hotels encountered problems with a Booking.com reservation, they had to go through multiple manual steps and spend time contacting Booking.com support. Starting March 18, 2025, the newly improved Extranet interface will make the issue reporting process clearer, faster, and more efficient. With this update, hotels can now easily report issues through three key functions:

Report Invalid Credit Card

Report Invalid Credit Card

  • When a hotel receives a booking with an invalid credit card, it can now report it directly through the Extranet with detailed step-by-step instructions.
  • This helps Booking.com process these cases faster and allows hotels to cancel the booking if necessary.
  • Reduces manual workload and minimizes the risk of no-show bookings, preventing revenue loss.

Report Stay Change

Report Stay Change

  • Easily notify Booking.com about changes in check-in/check-out dates when a guest modifies their stay.
  • Ensures accurate booking information without requiring manual adjustments.
  • Helps prevent incorrect commission charges due to mismatched booking details.

Report Cancellation Due to Invalid Credit Card

Report Cancellation Due to Invalid Credit Card

  • If a guest provides an invalid credit card and does not replace it with a valid one, the hotel can now request a cancellation directly.
  • Avoids no-show scenarios where the hotel cannot collect payment.
  • Increases operational efficiency by allowing hotels to free up rooms for new bookings instead of being held by unpaid reservations.

How Do These Enhancements Benefit Extranet Users?

Faster Processing

The streamlined reporting process is now integrated directly into Hotel Link’s Extranet, helping hotels save time instead of manually emailing or contacting Booking.com support.

Reduced Errors & Increased Accuracy

With real-time updates, hotels can avoid incorrect commission charges and ensure that revenue tracking is accurate.

Maximized Revenue & Room Availability

Problematic bookings, such as those with invalid credit cards, can now be quickly identified and managed, ensuring that rooms are allocated to actual paying guests.

Smoother User Experience

The new user-friendly interface allows hotel staff to report issues with just a few clicks, making it easier to manage bookings without extensive training.
