TODOLIST Update: Optimize Room Operations With Housekeeping Tab

After receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback from hotels using TODOLIST to manage daily tasks, Hotel Link is continuing to enhance this feature by introducing a brand-new function – the Housekeeping Tab, scheduled for launch in July 2025. This feature is developed exclusively for hotels using Front Desk, aiming to improve room management efficiency and coordination between the front desk and housekeeping departments. But what exactly does the Housekeeping Tab offer, and how can hotels use it effectively in daily operations? Let’s explore this new function with Hotel Link.

Visualize Room Status Directly Within TODOLIST

Dashboard-1

Instead of accessing multiple screens to check room status, users can now instantly see the total number of dirty rooms out of all available rooms, displayed right within the Housekeeping Tab on TODOLIST.

The new interface clearly shows each room's status - clean or dirty, occupied or vacant. This allows front desk staff to make quicker decisions, avoid task duplication, and reduce wasted time.

Assign Housekeeping Tasks More Easily and Efficiently

No more writing notes by hand or calling the housekeeping team internally. With the Housekeeping Tab, you can assign cleaning tasks directly to your staff with just a few clicks.

Managers can assign tasks to each staff member with the appropriate access permissions, track progress, and update room status in real time.

This feature is especially useful during peak times - such as just before check-in hours or after multiple guests have checked out — helping hotels quickly turn over rooms for the next arrivals.

Strengthen Coordination Between Front Desk and Housekeeping

Effective collaboration between departments is key to smooth hotel operations. The Housekeeping Tab helps synchronize information between the front desk and housekeeping on a single platform, minimizing miscommunication and delays.

Front desk staff will immediately know when a room is ready for check-in, while housekeeping staff receive alerts for rooms that need priority cleaning — without waiting for manual confirmation.

Who Can Use the Housekeeping Tab?

The Housekeeping Tab is only available to hotels currently using Hotel Link’s Front Desk. If your hotel hasn’t activated Front Desk yet but is looking to streamline operations, now is the perfect time to get started.

Beyond optimizing room cleaning workflows, integration with TODOLIST helps save time, improve efficiency, and enhance the guest experience.
